The walls upon which the sundials reside are respectively facing the South-West and North-East. The Sun always shine from sunrise to sunset on one of the sundials, hence the time can be read anytime in the day.
The picture is taken at a moment where both dials are illuminated. One can read 1 hour on a dial and 2 on the second one. There is thus something wrong. This is probably due to the style.
The building has been restored at the end of the XXth Century and the dials were repainted at that moment. Sadly enough the style was not replaced.
